There is a person who has recently come in my life. Every time I meet that person, even for a short time, drains me totally.
A 5 minute meet will keep me drained for a couple of hours. The feeling is not just mental. Its the physical feeling of being drained and not wanting to do anything for the next few minutes..
Have you ever felt something like this???

Pure Joy...
Yesterday I had been for a short ride in the morning. Just to clear my thoughts, and get some zing back.
Fast curves, not too many straights, very less traffic, great tarmac surface, and very less cattle (of the two and four legged kind)

My quick test ride...
I got my bike serviced yesterday, and I was itching for a ride out. Coincidentally, a very good friend of mine was riding from Pune. So I decided that its time for a quick trip to Lonavala...
I left at 6.30AM, and went to the petrol bunk to top up. There the ATM security guard suddenly lost his sleep when he saw me trying to enter the ATM, in full riding kit... :) The expression on his face..priceless.
Another reason for this ride was to test out my new Tundra gloves from cramster. Unfortunately, they could only provide protection for a few kms only. On the other hand, they are so much better than the other Fieldsheer Mach 6 gloves which I have reviewed earlier.
The handling also gets a little clumsy because of the size of the gloves.. The grips feel like twigs.
But, they offer great protection, and are perfect for riding out of the city.
Bottom line : Value for money.
My first stop was at Shri Datta snacks, who make the best Vada Pav in the entire planet. There is nothing like a hot cup of tea and steaming vada pav when you are hungry.
One thing I noticed, is that you don’t feel so cold when you are riding, but the minute you stop, the chills set in. Boy, it was pretty cold today, inspite of wearing my BikeNomads tee, the Fieldsheer Mesh jacket, along with the wind breaker, and a fleece pullover on top.
One more reason for this trip was to try to lean further than usual. Thankfully, i was able to scrub more rubber off the side of my tyre than usual :)
That was an awesome feeling to lean, and carry speed into the turns. Thank you GOD :)
Our rendezvous point was RK as usual. A few minutes after i reached, Praveen Sathye walks in, and we had a great breakfast at RK. And then it was the time to ride back...
I had a hard time keeping up with Praveen, and man, he hits the curves like his tyres are made of chewing gum. Was quite a sight following him.
The return trip was pretty uneventful, and reached home @11.30AM.
Not a bad way to spend a Sunday morning eh?
:-D

Happiness...
What 'is' happiness? A state of mind?
I'll tell you what happiness is.
Its the knowledge that you have more control than you actually need...

Communication...
I had a very intospective chat yesterday with a good friend of mine. It was very cleansing, and at the same time, threw up more questions than answers.
But one thing which stood out, is the root cause of all issues. More often than not, it boils down to communication.
Just go back to some conflict or some issue which you have been running away from. Strip away the veneer of time, ego, competition, and other distractions. What you are left with is just plain communication.
Think about it, and let me know your thoughts, am very very interested in this thread.

My Language...
Off late I have noticed that my language skills are degrading. I have caught myself making rookie mistakes.
Just the other day, I wanted to write "My plans are pretty fluid at this moment..." and I wrote "My plans are pretty liquid at this moment..."
Not just this, but have noticed some slips while talking also.
What could be the reason for this? Could it be haste? Could it be the fact that I don’t read as much as I used to anymore?
(Too many ‘I’s in this post, isn’t it?)

Shantaram...
I just finished Shantaram(The Gregory Robert's fame) Its an outstanding book. Loved it.
There is one thought in the book, which is specially good. Here it goes:
"Sometimes, we have to do the wrong things for the right cause"
Interesting, innit?

New cramster stuff..
I got my much awaited cramster gear yesterday.
Got a daypack, the cramster saddlebags, and tundra gloves.
Saddlebags:
Tundra Gloves:
The gloves are pretty thick and cozy. Should be very effective in low temperatures. I dont think they are waterproof, though.
Will post a detailed review as soon as I test them :-)

The new Yamaha?
There are very strong rumours of Yamaha India launching a new performance bike in india. There is a lot of speculation going on about the bike.
I chanced upon this pic on Team-bhp.
